Class, here are some notes for you to study:

1.     4 Marks of the Church
"The four marks of the Church are one, holy, catholic, and apostolic."
 
2.     One
1. The Church is united as one in the same God.--The Trinity is One God just as the members of the Church make up One Church. 
2. One in the same Baptism.--The Church has one faith, one sacramental life, and one apostolic succession. 
3. One in the same Spirit. --The Holy Spirit is the soul of the Church. 
4. One in the same Body.--Jesus, the word made flesh, unifies the Church as one body. 
5. We are united in one hope--Salvation. 
 
3.     Holy 
1. The Church is Holy  because:
a,. God, the creator is holy.
b. Christ sacrificed Himself to make the Church holy
c. the Spirit of Holiness gives the Church life. 
 
4.     Catholic
1. The Church is Catholic because it is universal. 
2. The Church is missionary (sent out) to all people in all times to share the Good News to All. 
3. The universality of faith transcends all nations and cultures and therefore makes any form of racial prejudice or discrimination incompatible with Christianity. 
4. The Church will last for all time. 
 
5.     Apostolic
1. The Church's lasting foundation is built on Christ and the twelve apostles.
2. Christ leads the Church through Peter and the other Apostles who are present in their successors.
3. These successors are the current Pope and College of Bishops. 
4. The Church is indestructible and held safely in the Truth.

Dear Religion classes, 

For your homework please do a good examination of conscience in order to make a good confession this week. Use the worksheet we used in class today to reflect upon your actions since last confession.

To examine your conscience, you should:

1. Find a quiet space and put yourself in the presence of God.
2. Pray that the Holy Spirit and your Guardian Angel to help you make an honest examination. 
3. Go through the questions and reflect upon them. 
4.Write down your sins. 
5. Thank the Holy Spirit and your Guardian Angel for helping you reflect on your sins. 
6. Take the sheet to your confession so you can confess everything.

Dear 6th Grade, 


As we complete our Sorrowful Mysteries, and to help you prepare for the upcoming quiz, we will be completing an individual project that will be due on March 17.


For this project, you will have to:


1. Pick 1 of the Sorrowful Mysteries and create a comic of that scene. 
2. A medium sized poster is appropriate, and you may have 4 or more panels on your poster. 
3. You must draw the scenes and use words as well (i.e., dialogue/narrator)
4.  You must read up on the scene. Use the associated scripture verses I provided in the study guide. Also, read Luke 22-23 as it offers great details for the Crucifixion story. 
5. You must show a good effort in how you create your comic. 
6. Projects must be reverent and respectful. 

Dear All, please begin your March Saint Project. It will be due on the 28th of February. I will collect these in class.

I would like to remind you of a few things:


1. Please upload your baby name to google classroom for November 10 2021 if you have not already done so. 
2. Please complete a drawing of the 1st Luminous Mystery and turn it in to me on Friday 18 November 2021.I will collect these in person. 
3. Please be sure to study the Gloria Patri over the break for a quiz once we are back in classes.

Dear Religion Classes, 


In order to have everyone's baby names archived in one place, I am asking you to upload a picture of your Spiritual Adoption Card showing the baby name you have selected. If you do not have your card, please write it on a 3x5 card and upload a picture here on Google Classroom. Please note the following requirements:


1. This is due by Monday 11:59pm for full credit. Late submissions will be deducted 50%.
2.  Baby names should be respectful and genuine, and not offensive to other cultures or backgrounds.

Once you have selected a saint that no one in your class has, then you may proceed with this assignment. You must:


1. Print the attached worksheet. 
2. Fill in the information after researching your saint. 
3. Sketch your saint.
4. Turn the project in to me in person by the due date in our religion class.

Dear Religion classes, 


1. Do a Google Search and find a Saint whose feast day is in the month of November. 


2. Check the comments section to see if anyone has selected that saint. If they have, you must select a different saint. If no one has selected it, you may do your research project on that saint. 


3. Enter the name of your saint in the comments below if no one has selected it.


4. This assignment is due by the end of the week. 


5. After you have finished this assignment, then you may proceed with the Monthly Saint Research Project , which I will assign on Google Classroom.

Homework is to complete p. 19 in the textbook and upload a picture of it to Google Classroom for grading. 

For homework, complete pp. 14-15 in the textbook and upload a pic of the pages here in Google Classroom. 

Please print the attached form and complete it over the weekend. This will be due on Monday, October 4, 2021.

3. Tell me 3 little sacrifices of love you have done in the past. Write in complete sentences. 


4. Think about 3 additional sacrifices of love you can do now in response to difficulties you may be facing. Write in complete sentences.
