3. In your own words, describe one fact or detail (the characters, the setting, the events) using figurative language (simile, hyperbole, personification, metaphor, idiom)

Please submit in person unless you absent

3 quotes per chapter.
Due: Monday, May 16

Select one setting detail we have discussed in class. 
Construct a one – chunk paragraph to describe the setting (TS + 1CD + 1CM+ 1CM + CS).
Create an illustration that reflects the ideas in your paragraph.

Read Chapters 8, 9, 10
Identify and copy down at least three concrete details per chapter
Submit either in class or upload copy to Google Classroom.

You will be presenting on Tuesday, April 5th. You and your partner will need to complete and turn in the following:

1. World War II Planning Sheet
2. World War II Slideshow
3. The World War II KWL Chart

Presentation should include:
1. Identify important vocabulary 
2. Provide at least 20 concrete details (paraphrased in your own words). 
3. Include important pictures and images
4. Include important dates
5. Include important people (at least 1 - 2 minimum) 

For your Presentation, you will be graded on the following:
1. Content of your slides
2. Speaking volume
3. Eye contact: It is fine to read off the slides, but do not face the board the entire time. The goal of this project is to be an expert in your topic. You can also choose to read off index cards.
4. Being an attentive and respectful audience member
