1. How does Steinbeck use white space in chapter 6?
2. What is the message/moral of this novel?
3. What details are used to describe the pearl?
4. Your final thoughts about The Pearl.

Regarding the art project:
You are to draw the pearl with details from pg. 89 sketched in the pearl. You may use quotes as well, but you need to have at least 3 details sketched into the pearl.  

This will be due on Wednesday.

For homework over the weekend you should be catching up on The Bronze Bow. We have already read a few chapters in class, and you should have continued reading over the past couple weeks at your pace. Therefore you must have completed reading up to chapter 15 by Monday (October 11).


In other words, you must read up to page 171 in Bronze Bow. Remember that annotations will be checked. 


Here is a schedule to help you along:

Saturday: Chapters 10-12
Sunday: Chapters 13-15

A reminder to all literature classes, you should be taking this time during our writing instruction, to continue reading the assigned novel.
