Mrs. Orlena Ruiz, Music Teacher
Mrs. Orlena Ruiz joined Our Lady of Grace School in the 2025-2026 school year. With a robust educational background, including a Master’s Degree in Music Education from New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a minor in Violin Performance from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, Mrs. Ruiz holds a California Child Development Master Teacher Permit, enhanced by specialized certifications in Kodaly, Orff-Schulwerk, Suzuki Violin, World Music Drumming, and Kindermusik. Her extensive teaching experience spans over three decades, including roles as a music and choral teacher for grades K-8, choir director, and violin instructor at schools and non-profit organizations in Los Angeles, San Juan, and New York.
